Lita Rossana Ford (also known as Lita Ford) is a British born American singer on guitar who took the role of lead singer of The Runaways a female hard rock band in the 70s. They were noticed for their rebellious songs and punk-rock style. The group did not have any fans in their home country of the United States. However, the group's popularity increased abroad and especially in Japan. Ford had a long and successful career as a solo heavy metal artist after the group split up in 1979. Her debut album as a solo artist was 'Dancin' On the Edge, followed by her record Out for Blood. The albums of Ford were not particularly popular and she went on hiatus for a couple of years. In 1988, she returned to the music scene by releasing a dazzling album titled "Lita. Kiss Me Deadly (single) as well as Close My Eyes Forever (ballad) were two of her most popular songs. Unfortunately, the success of her career was not last long and after a few years, she was absent. Her return came when she released 'Black' in 1995. Then she released 'Wicked wonderland' about 15 years later. She released her latest album Time Capsule in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
