Zoe-perry

Perry is the daughter of actors Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. One of her first TV performances were Jackie Harris on ABC's sitcom Roseanne. Her mother played the character. Fearing stress, her parents were not keen to let the actress pursue acting until she turned age 18. Perry, who was too timid to perform in the school, began to perform at Northwestern University because she wanted to make new acquaintances. Perry left for New York, where she was offered small roles in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. The feeling of homesickness caused Perry home to California, where theater jobs were in demand. The Other Place was performed by her and her mom on Broadway in 2013 The show featured the father of her character Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in 2015 on the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry appeared nine times in The Family, an ABC drama The Family, in 2016. In 2017, she starred in an recurring role in The ABC political thriller Scandal which starred her father. In the same year, her character was cast a young version of Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) on Young Sheldon, a spin-off of the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory again playing a young character of her mom's role. The character was chosen via auditions having a strong relationship with the show.
