Lisa Olivia Munn was conceived in Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid is of Chinese heritage and was born within Vietnam. The father of her Winston Barrett Munn is from an American family that has deep roots in America's South. Olivia's parents divorced at age two. She was raised by her mother who was with the United States Air Force, and her stepfather. Although the family was spread across the country, her primary home is Tokyo, Japan. At this point she performed in several local theatre productions, and then became a model for the Japanese fashion business. When the family eventually returned home to United States, Olivia moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of becoming an actress. After a few small parts and a few small roles, her career took off on a very promising turn when she landed the role as Mily Acuna in the Hawaii-focused television show Beyond the Break (2006) as well as the part of Rob Schneider's receptionist in Big Stan (2007). She hosts podcasts "Formula D", "The Daily Nut", and "The Daily Nut". Following the TV show Beyond the Break, she continues to browse. She also holds an unofficial black belt in Taekwondo. At the age of two, her mother married again however this time to an US Air Force member. She was raised primarily in Tokyo, Japan where her stepfather worked. The University of Oklahoma is where she pursued her journalism studies, along with minors in Japanese Drama, dramatic and arts.
